I don't know about you, but this has been a tough year! Lot's of ups and downs in the workout space. For the next ten days I'm going to drop one interesting way to lose weight. Today's topic is Insulin. 
Carbs, Sugar, processed foods all cause very funky spikes in your insulin. Insulin plays a huge part in your bodies abilities to lose weight. Start a journal and begin anylizing when you eat processed foods the most, and ask yourself why? Crackers, rice, bread, high sugar foods. All these foods either need to go or be limited. A food journal will help you figure out the times, you want ti enjoy sugar, or processing foods.

Keep your friends close, and your Frenemies closer

We've all had them. Friends that were really enemies. How do you define what afrenemy even is. The Urban dictionary defines them as "someone who is both friend and enemy" a dual kind of friend. It could be a song, they say your their friend, but their not. But its true, we all have people who bring us down, who navigate the boat of relationships down the wrong road, all the while throwing the rowers into deep water, with sharp teethed fish prowling around. What do you do? What if it is a family member. You can't fire family right. What if it is an employee, that actually does their job and a good one at that. I think the solution belongs in how you handle these people, by establishing strong boundaries. Letting them know that their wicked ways just have to stop. That you have spied them out. Doing the double fork fingers from your eyes to their eyes is just not enough. Honesty is the best policy. Once you let the frenemy know you are onto them, be prepared for murky waters, the ones without the oars. How to sharpen your brain power using the 8 hour diet



I really don't know how long I've been using these techniques. But they work for more than just dieting, and can even help you sleep better, make more money, and think better.
     The other night as I sat at my desk in my office. I began to wonder. Is a diet, a diet, a diet. And the suprising answer was no. Every dieter looks at the word diet, and describes it inside themselves as food starvation. And it is not just that, it can be many many things. The old term diet used to mean going without food, or your favorite foods, or reshaping the way you eat, to create a new behavior. Now Dieting can be a way of thinking as well. One thing I've noticed on the 8 hour diet, is the ability to think increases as you get closer to the point of breaking the fast. Eat betwee:
10 AM and 6 PM every day and notice several things:
1) Your thinking sharpens as you get two hours out from breaking your fast. The theory is that the longer you go without food, the sharper your mind becomes, as it needs to find food. As the body empties out it's carb and fat stores, the mind becomes sharper. so thinking can be enhanced by depleting fat and carb stores? That is the question. By experimenting what I have discovered is my brain feels better, and clearer as I get closer to the point of breaking my fast, 10 AM. After 10am origionally I would eat whatever I wanted, from Pizza to candybars to coffee. Now a new thing I've tried is eating an egg based veggie breakfast to keep my blood sugars from spiking and keep my body burning fat. i'm also cutting out all the processed foods from my diet. I was eating pizza too much! Also tons of Dairy, and all kinds of stuff. I thought I was ok, because I could only eat this junk for 8 hours. BOTTOM LINE: This crap needs to go. Here are some things to elliminate.
high Processed foods, Soda, chips, sugary foods and moon pies, sweetner aditivies (Sweet n low, aspertame) Diet sodas, and on and on. 
Watch what your body will be able to do, once you get these things out of your system. Your internal organs will begin to function better, and will clean out the gunk inside your body. Your mind will clear up, and your energy levels will enhance or return. How can this improve your mind, you say? Well eating for 8 hours a day, helps creat the fasting Brain, a sharper, healthier brain, that functions better so it thinks better. Also your food becomes a strategy instead of an emotional reaction, not a healthy body. Right now I do this diet 4 days a week and get off of it on Thursday night. How to do the perfect squat to help lose weight



Everyone assumes squats are easy, but most people do them wrong. And this always results in injuries
that slow and stammer weight loss. Here are a few things people do wrong:

1. They squat past their knees. This causes an imbalance with the weight, and you could fall. Over strains the knees, and could cause knee issues. And the focus leaves the glutes,hamstrings, core and legs. Squat to wear the knew is flush with the hamstring don't let the hamstrings go below the knee. 

2.They don't use any weight or too much weight. Find a happy medium and use the right weight for you. This all ties into your weight loss and workout goals. What are you trying to accomplish, and Why. Find out what works for you and what takes those legs and but up a notch. 
3. On the push up they are wobbly. Don't wabble go down with the weight and go back up with some nice force. But not to much keep your pace even you'll burn more calories. 


Things to perfect the squat 

1.Focus on your core, and your posture. As you go down look up just a little bit. This will pull your core in and work your abs as you squat down. Keep your focus centered, this will help prevent injuries. 

2. Keep your legs even and your feet as well. As your squat down notice which foot may be weaker than the other and work on the balance of that foot away from the exercise. 
3. Start with a weight you can handle, and don't go too big on weight. You'll be counting yourself out to fast. 
4. Max out with spotters to find out what your max is and then build your plan to increase that max. If your max is 300 workout with about 150 at first and then max out again in two weeks. You'll see imrpovements. 
5. lastly, work all your small muscles aside from your squat. Your hamstrings, calves, quads, work them individually, it will help your overall squat. My weight loss workout

Revolutionize your home work out plan

How do you build an incredible Home Workout plan? I've always taken working out at home for granted since I've been doing Home workouts since I was a teenager. In My teens I did things like pyramid sets, sets to failure, Max sets, and Cardio. I ran track in highs school. Played basketball,baseball, and football. So I carried working out into my adult life.
     But a few years ago (2011) I realized I'd missed the boat on my home workout. And I learned a very rare exercise, which I will tell you about in a  minute that revolutionized my home workout.I realized that I was spinning my wheels working out and decided to make a change. I wanted to lose some weight and get those after 40 washboard abs. But I need to add some intensity to my workouts and this home based exercise did the trick.  here's a list of exercises the will revolutionize your Home workout.

1)Burpees  start with sets of 10 and do 10 sets. Yes thats 100 burpees. But burpees will teach you something about your body, and you need to learn where your weaknesses  are. I found my flaws were in my gluteus maximus,knees, quads and wrists. I wear special gloves that help me take the pressure off of my hands.
2)Slow Pushups start with a set of five and start on the down going very slow. Do Only five and then do a regular amount of ten. Then do five slow again. your chest will go to failure and you'll begin to grow.
3)Leg raises Start with 10. Count down from 10 and when you get to 1 start with another exercise, when you come back do 9 and on and on. This is a good exercise to work in other hard exercises its like an o'rderve. But it works the upper abs very well.
4)Yoga  helps the body tremendously Front stretches, spinal stretches, single leg stretches all belong in a good home workout.
5) Squats  without a good squat program a home workout is not complet. Start with squats and see how your legs do once they begin to warm up. These are great for working the glutes, quads, calves, and hamstrings. Start with 10 and work backwards in sets until you get down to one.

Lose Massive weight like a HOBO and not hurt the pocket book

Hobo's have it made. They eat well, stay lean, and don't spend any money. It's the life. But there are secrets to eating like a HOBO. The main thing in life is to stay lean, healthy, and looking good. And them Hobos they got it down. Here is a step by step guide to saving money and staying healthy like a hobo. 

1)Eat lean-learn to put pots together. If your eating on the side of the road, you need to cook things fast. If someone is coming behind you with a club, you need to use the stirring club to hit them back. Or use it to cook some amazing soup. Soup keeps a young Hobo lean. You can make soups out of anything. Beans, suateed onions spinach, or if your a hobo an old fish head. I don't advise that though. 
2)Buy healthy food cheap-the healthy Hobo, knows the price of what it will cost him to shop everyday from a can of beans to broth, to veggies. He knows what it will cost to eat and how long it will take to cook it. Cuz when your on the run, to catch that next railway car, you might have to take dinner with you. 
3)Fast naturally-the 8 hour diet is a great regular fasting diet, so check out my other blogs,and join my blog here, to get updates on this diet. When you eat and how keeps a Hobo lean.
4)Water-drinking from polluted streams don't help a young hobo. So carry some bottled water with you to cook with and drink. And hydrate up when you get a chance. 
5)Multi vitamins-eat hypotency food when you can to help you nourish yourself when your low on vitamins. This will compensate for any difishency's running from the law.
